Hokie Huddle Podcast

Here it is. The very first and by default (because to our knowledge none others exist) the most popular unofficial Hokie Football Podcast in the Nation! Rob Mulla, Bobby Gu and Yours Truly kicked off the "Hokie Huddle" podcast yesterday with our very first recording. See the links below for our first 2 segments.

  1. Great podcast, though the second segment link is broken.

Also, has VPI Gobblers taken a position on Bryan Stinespring? I think the emergence of Eddie Royal, Josh Morgan, David Clowney, etc. in the NFL is a truly damning commentary on Stinespring's incompetence. I'd like to hear what this blog thinks about that.

  2. Thanks for the heads up on the 2nd segment link Dylan. It should be fixed now.

We will tackle the Offensive Coordinator issue eventually, although I'd prefer to see a couple of games this season before we hit that topic.

  4. The emergence of WR's doesn't make your OC incompetent. He has been working with No O-line, A terrible QB situation, until last year inconsistent running back play.

Give hime sometime this year with what should be an improved O-line, a solid QB situation, and a questionable Tailback situation.

The guy has showed at times he can call a decent game.

  5. Dylan, I think that's a great point and it was something I was thinking about the other day. I disagree with Marty (as is usually the case) and I do think it's a sign of some sort of imcompetence and not just situation. I'm not sure if the blame goes to Sean Glennon and a young Tyrod Taylor, or if the blame should go to Stinespring. In my opinion, there is room for all of them to share fault on this issue. One thing is for sure... VT never had as many talented wide receivers as we did with Morgan, Royal, Clowney, and Harper, and those players didn't translate to passing statistics, even though our offense was more pass-heavy during their tenure than it had been since Druckenmiller.
